Two good things.....

5:46 am - Monday - July 22nd - LPG&RVR - 61° F, humidity 60%, wind 1 mph out of the east by southeast....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 98° F.  On this date in 2020 TLE and I were having a late lunch at Tamarack Brewing just south of Kalispell, MT....one of the best micro breweries we have visited in 12+ years on the road....brews, and food were spectacular, and the ambiance was even better....

Well, all good things must come to an end, and two of those good things came to an end Sunday.  First good thing was this year's edition of The Open....the 152nd Open held at Royal Troon in Scotland this year.  When the dust finally settled around 12:30 pm Pacific Time Xander Schauffle stood alone at 9 under par, winning by 2 strokes.  It was a memorable, and enjoyable Open....one of the best in recent memory.

The second good thing was the 21st Stage of Le Tour de France....a time trial run from the Principality of Monaco to Nice, France.  They usually finish in Paris, but with the Summer Olympics about to begin it was was too busy in Paris to have both events, and all the people attending both, so they moved the final stage to the coast.  Frankly, I liked this venue more than the Paris one.  In the end Tadej Pogacar (Tadā Pogotcha) won his 6th stage of this year's Tour handily, and extended his lead to over 6 minutes, winning his 3rd Tour in 5 years.

Our weekend went just as I thought it would, except for the knee problem, and now it is time to return to work for four more days.  Additionally, our brother-in-law, Charles Wilson, and Phyllis, TLE's sister, are arriving for an 8 day stay on Tuesday, so the next 9 days promise to be full of activity.

We are just over a week away from the 1st of August, which hardly seems possible, but there it is, just looming over the horizon.  The weather will be hot for the next 4 days, but will dip into the 80's for our 4 day weekend (Friday to Monday), so we've got that going for us.  Life is good at LPG&RVR!

Thanks for stopping by!
