Remiss.....

4:52 pm - Wednesday - July 10th - LPG&RVR - 98° F, wind 9 mph out of the west by northwest.....clear, blue skies, and the forecast high has been reached.  On this date in 2017 TLE and I were in Bozeman, MT having lunch at Brigder Brewing Company.....

I've been remiss the past couple of days in posting, so I will catch you up for the last two days right now.

Monday, July 8th:

There was a lot of mowing which needed to be done Monday, and after staging 10 carts, making my first round of the course, and clearing golf balls off the driving range I got busy mowing.  In all I mowed the grass around both the large, and small pavilions, the large grass area next to site #30, the parking lot grass, around the putting green, the group fire pit grass, and 14 of the pull through sites.  Dennis, my boss, assisted me by pulling the picnic tables off of the pull through sites, then putting them back when I had finished mowing.  He also dumped at least one load of grass clippings while I continued mowing.  By lunch time I had done all the mowing I was going to do, and was grateful to give TLE her lunch break, and get out of the heat.

After lunch I continued the irrigating I had begun in the morning, plus opened the large 4" valve for the pod around 2 pm to release water into the Meadows back in sites, plus all 10 tent sites.  We let it run for about 26 hours before we had been able to flood everything, including the 10 tent sites.

I had all 10 carts washed and put away by 2:30 pm, and called it a day.  I think the high Monday was 101° F.  TLE was home by 5:20 pm, and that was our Monday.

Tuesday, July 9th:

Things on the golf course were slightly busier on Tuesday with 12 carts being rented.  Once the 4th of July weekend ends things quiet down here for about 10 days.  Considering how empty the park was I was surprised we put out that many carts.

Once my initial duties for the morning were done (staging carts, and making the first round of the course) I got out one of the Stihl string trimmers and began trimming everything I had mowed on Monday.  That took me the balance of the morning, and one again by lunch time I was ready to give TLE her lunch break, and spend an hour in the cool confines of the Clubhouse office.

Between 1 and 2 pm I washed and stowed golf carts, and had 1o washed and put away by 2 pm.  With nothing left to do I headed home for the afternoon, but I did venture out three times to check on the progress of the flooding of the Meadows and tents sites.  By 4:30 pm I shut the 4" valve from the pond, and called it good for another week.  Tuesday was our Friday this week, and TLE was home by 5:20 pm.

As of today, July 10th, we have reached the half way mark of the summer....3 months to go.  In a few days we'll be out of the heatwave, and things will cool to the low 90's.....lol!

Thanks for stopping by!
