Rainy day....

7:16 am - Wednesday - October 15th - Bishop, CA - 36° F, humidity 58%, wind 7 mph out of the east......partly cloudy today with a forecast high of 55° F....time to move further south!  ON this date in 2016 TLE and I were standing, in the rain, on 'Fanny Bridge'.....

in Tahoe City, CA....later that evening we had dinner with long time friend, Don Neff, at Christy Hill Restaurant.....

....just a few blocks down the road from Fanny Bridge.  We've eaten there several times over the years, and consider Christy Hill to be the best fine dining restaurant in the entire Lake Tahoe Basin.  The view this morning.....

The Sierra Nevada to the west of Tri County Fairgrounds

The White Mountains to the east of Tri County Fairgrounds

As expected, we awoke to rain on our riveted aircraft aluminum roof, and it continued, with occasional interruptions until after 8 pm Tuesday evening.  I cannot remember the last time I did not set foot outside the coach for an entire day, but Tuesday I did not....TLE went outside once to get something out of the Norcold freezer, but that was it.

I spent part of the morning trying to catch up on the YouTube channels I follow, and around noon time I began binge watching 'Terminal List: Lone Wolf' on Amazon Prime.  This is take off on the series of Jack Carr books called 'The Terminal List'.  There are no books yet, but you can watch it on Amazon Prime.  I've written about the Terminal List series of books previously.  At any rate, it was a great watch, and a nice way to pass the afternoon.

We began watching game 2 of the NLCS between the Dodgers and Brewers around 5:30 pm.  After two innings the Dodgers led 2-1, and never lost the lead.  By the bottom of the 9th the Dodgers had built the lead to 5-1, and their starting pitcher, Yamamoto, was still in the game.  The Dodgers haven't had a complete game victory pitched in the playoffs since sometime in the early 2000's, but Tuesday was Yamamoto's day.  He retired the final 14 batters to face him to get the complete game victory.  He gave up a lead off homerun on the first pitch of the game, and then retired 27 of the last 29 batters to face him giving up only 3 total hits in the game.  Now the Dodgers head back to L.A. with a 2-0 lead in the series.

As went headed off to dreamland the rain was still pitter pattering on our aluminum roof, and I was sure we would awake to snow on the mountains surrounding Bishop, and we did. Time to move south where it's still warm!

Thanks for stopping by!
