Too much acclimating!

7:34 am - Sunday - October 19th - Fontana/Rialto Elks Lodge - 60° F, humidity 28%, wind 1 mph out of the north by northeast.....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 84° F.  On this date in 2020 TLE and I were enjoying another beautiful sunset at Seal Rocks RV Cove.....

.....on the Oregon Coast about 10 miles south of Newport, OR.

My main task Saturday was to replace the left rear turn signal relay, which I had determined had gone bad on Friday morning.  I drove over to the local Autozone (about 1/2 mile away) to by  a new, solid state one at a cost of $23.  Upon return I began attaching the 5 wires to the 5 pins on the new relay.  I was pretty sure where two of them belonged, but the other 3 took me a little while.  The new replay has the 5 pins configured quite differently.  After a little trial and error I had TLE turn on the left turn signal and it worked....

....now that I've gotten the left turn signal/brake light/running lights on the Newell working again I can begin to troubleshoot the issue with the left turn/brake/running lights on the trailer.  By the time I finished installing the new relay, and putting away my tools it was getting warm, and time to head inside.

You've probably noticed the much warmer temperatures we're experiencing here in Fontana at 1,200' elevation in the more southern latitudes of SoCal compared to Likely.  We had acclimated to the much cooler temperatures in Likely, and now are having to acclimate to much warmer temps here in SoCal.  On Monday we'll head down to the Mexican border where temps are in the high 80's, and low 90's still.  More acclimating to do, and then we'll be back at 5,500' elevation at The Wilson Wilderness shortly after that where we'll once again have to acclimate to much cooler temperatures....TOO MUCH ACCLIMATING....lol!

I spent the afternoon reading, and watching NCAA College Football.  Sadly, my USC Trojans lost a close game to Notre Dame.  They were only down 3 points with a few minutes to play when they fumbled the ball to Notre Dame who moved down the field to sore the knockout touchdown.  In fact they had an interception and the fumble in the last 10 minutes on very promising drives.  Eliminate those two errors and they probably win the game.

Thanks for stopping by!
