7:39 am DST- First Saturday -March 15th - Seal Rock, OR - 34° F, 93% humidity, wind - zero mph out of the north......partly cloudy today with no forecast rain, and a high of 45° F. The view this morning......↴
....and on this date in 2015 TLE and I were hiking the Airport Trail near Sedona, AZ.......↴
Rain began to fall around 8 pm Saturday evening, and it continued all through the night into Sunday morning where it intensified. By 9 am Terry had sent me a text calling me off work. The rain continued without a break for the entire day, and to spice it up a bit we got some winds into the mid 20's for most of the afternoon.
After two days of working hard around our new site I was actually grateful for a day off from any form of work. With nonstop rain drenching Seal Rock it was an easy choice for me to remain indoors all day. It gave me a chance to watch the entirety of the final round of the Tournament Players Championship (golf), and that is exactly what I did. The final round began with at least 10 players within striking distance, but in the end it was the young Justin Thomas who prevailed by one stroke over Lee Westwood, the runner up for the second week in succession. Thomas went from 5 strokes behind Westwood at the beginning of the day to one up with a four hole flurry in which he scored 3 birdies, and an eagle.
TLE did report for her two hour shift at 2 pm....it was rainy, and blustery, and upon her return at 4 pm it was even windier. Other than that it was a completely uneventful Sunday. TLE, using her vita clay pot, made Chile for dinner forcing me outside the one and only time all day to fetch a Newcastle brew from the Norcold to chase it. It looks as if we will have no rain Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, so some work will be accomplished at SRRVC this week!
