25 days.....

7:26 am - Labor Day - September 6th - Seal Rock, OR - 48° F, 100% humidity, wind 3 mph out of the northeast......sunny today with fog sitting just offshore, and a forecast high of 65° F.  On this date in 2015 TLE and I hosted our first beer tasting party at Tahoe Valley Campground.....↴

Sunday marks the beginning of our last 25 days here at SRRVC.  In just 10 days we will mark our one year anniversary of our arrival here in Seal Rock, OR.  What a year it has been.  We will hold the memories of our stay here deep within our hearts for years to come.

For the first time in a while I worked an afternoon shift with TLE Sunday.....we both went to work at 1 pm, and were home by 3 pm.  She occupied herself with office stuff, and I spent my two hours spreading out the burn pile with the Massey-Ferguson loader, and string trimming around the barn.  I also spent about 30 minutes filling in some of the numerous potholes on the dirt/gravel section of NW Cross Street.  Doing that is kind of like sticking your finger in the proverbial dike.....it'll work for a while, but eventually the dike will break, and the potholes will return.  At least it will be nicer for the time we have left here at SRRVC.

Until we went to work we watched the first 9 holes of round four of the Tour Championship (FedEx Cup).  Patrick Cantlay began the four day tournament with a 2 stroke advantage (his reward for winning the BMW Championship last weekend), and ended the tournament winning by just 1 stroke over John Rahm.  Since the final 9 holes were played between 1 and 3 pm I recorded that part to watch when we returned from our two hour shift, and that is what we did.  It's been quite a two week stretch for Cantlay winning the final two tournaments of the year, and the $15 million dollar first prize (2nd place received $5 million......30th place received $395,000......not bad for finishing last....lol!).  After that finished I watched the Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Florida State Seminoles football game......it was tied 38-38 at the end of regulation, and was eventually won in the first round of overtime by Notre Dame 41-38.  It is good to have college football back!

Since the fog had been sitting just offshore all day we did not expect a sunset, but we did actually get one....at least what passes for one on the foggy/cloudy Oregon Coast.....

.....these pictures were taken around 7:30 pm....about 15 minutes before the actual sunset time, but the sun was disappearing behind the clouds on the horizon, so I guess it counts as a sunset picture....lol.
