'Thank you!'

 7:28 am - Tuesday - September 7th - Seal Rock, OR - 50° F , 100% humidity, wind - CALM....clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 65° F.  On this date in 2012 we were camped near Flaming Gorge, UT......↴

Fred and I began our workday at 11 am, so as to be closer to the check out time, so we could trim a couple of hedges out in the cul-de-sac, which are hard to get at when the sites on either side of them are occupied.  Specifically sites 18 and 19, and 23 and 24.  All of those sites would be occupied again by early afternoon, so we needed to finish before the new customers arrived.  We began with the site 18 side of the hedge there, and by the time we had that side trimmed the folks in site 19 were pulling out in their Class A motorhome.  We cut a couple feet off the top, and about a foot off each side.  After dumping a trailer load of clippings at the 'burn pile' we headed back to trim the hedge between sites 23 and 24, and subsequently dumping them, again, at the 'burn pile'. Our last task of the day was to move one of the freshly painted picnic tables to site 2 in exchange for the one there which needs painting.....not many more to go.  By time we finished with that task it was going on 2 pm.

At 3 pm all of the workers got together for a 'Thank you' lunch hosted by Terry and Michelle.  They provided pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw (Gina), and potato salad.....TLE provided Black Berry Crunch for desert....YUM.....

.....while I did take a took a long, hot shower after work which seemed to help my shoulders, by the time 4:30 pm rolled around I was in pain, so TLE and I headed home where she applied some Tiger Balm to my shoulders, and I took a couple of Tylenols.....when you get too far 'behind' in pain management it takes a lot longer for the Tylenol to kick in....finally by 6 pm I was not hurting anymore.....hedge trimming is not my friend!  If I take two Tylenols right after I get home I'm usually fine the rest of the day, but I didn't, and paid the price.

Once the pain subsided I took a long nap, awaking just in time to catch the latest version of a Coastal Oregon sunset.....on this evening the sun set right at the meeting of the sky and the ocean....perfect......

....and with that the first week of September comes to any end, as well as the Labor Day Weekend.  Just three weeks until lift off!  It finally seems like we are beginning to get the same weather we had when we arrived here a year ago.
