7:39 am - Wednesday - September 8th - Seal Rock, OR - 52° F, 100% humidity, wind 3 mph out of the east by southeast.....foggy this morning with clearing later today and a forecast high of 62° F. On this date in 2014 TLE and I were walking the South Cape Trail at Cape Blanco, OR.....what a great place to spend two months that year.....
Sometimes I think a little perspective is in order. The age group TLE and I are in has the lowest survival rate, however, even then it is still almost 95% chance of survival if we get it. Ebola only has a 10-20% survival rate.....now that is something of which to be afraid....
I'll let this speak for itself
.....what are we afraid of America? I put this on Facebook, and they immediately put up a warning notice that 'it' lacked context. They didn't say it was false, or even partly false, but "lacked context"....of course, the context they mean is the narrative they wish to push is missing.
TLE and I have checked another 'last time' thing off our list.....we did US-101 highway pickup on Tuesday for the fourth, and final time Tuesday. During our past three forays up and down PCH we utilized 3-4 large bags to pickup trash ranging from cigarette butts to quite large items, like a bicycle spoked wheel, or car/trucks parts which have fallen off passing vehicles. It usually takes us less than 3 hours . Tuesday it took 5 bags, and 3.5 hours.....there was a lot of everything from the ubiquitous cigarette butts to face masks, syringes, dental floss tools, beer bottles, pieces of aluminum, CD's, socks, towels, to the bicycle wheel we found. By the time we put away our pickers, and orange vests it was 1:30 pm, and we were 'toast'. We walked home, changed our clothes and spent a couple of hours relaxing in our recliners.
That was the extent of our day.....thanks for stopping by!
