7:20 am - Tuesday - December 7th - Anza Borrego Desert, CA - 58° F, 36% humidity, wind 3 mph out of the west.....heavily overcast......something new? The forecast high for today is 65° F....yup, something different! Forecast for the next week.....
.....what, what? Are those lows Thursday through Sunday in the 30's? Change for sure!
On this date in 2015 TLE and I were having a Pastrami Dip sandwich at 'The Hat' in Upland.....isn't she lovely?
The view this morning....and this is only a taste....I got up at 6 am to catch this light show....the rest of the pictures will post tomorrow (Wednesday)......
....you can the Formica delaminating in these pictures......
.....what it should look like (below). I removed the entire top from the base, cleaned the surfaces, masked off everything upon which I did not want the 3M contact spray cement, and then coated both surfaces before affixing the top back to the base. It turned out well......
.....ready for use once again.....
.....around noon time we drove into Borrego Springs to purchase some groceries (to hold us over to Wednesday when we drive into Indio), and fill up one of our 5 gallon fresh water containers ($1.50 for 5 gallons of filtered reverse osmosis water....the only reasonably priced thing in Borrego Springs). Groceries are quite expensive here in Borrego Springs, so we plan to head into Indio Wednesday to do a big shopping where prices are more affordable, and pick up a few Amazon packages from the local Amazon locker, which is the nearest one to our present location. Borrego Springs is kind of off the beaten path, and everything is appreciably more expensive, including gasoline. Regular unleaded goes for $5.39/gallon here.....ouch!
Other than that I spent more time outside in my anti gravity chair reading, and enjoying the balmy afternoon....our last for a while. By sunset time the skies had become heavily overcast, so there was no sunset fire, but I did get this picture about 30 minutes after the official sunset time.....
When you shop Amazon, please use our link (below) to access their website.......we will appreciate every purchase you make using our Amazon Affiliate link, and remember, using our link will not add one penny to your purchase, plus we will receive a small commission which over the course of a year adds up to enough to buy a tank of diesel for which we thank you very much!
