Wednesday saw the continuance of the heavy overcast we experienced Tuesday.....I'm beginning to think Krash and Karen took the good weather with them when they departed Tuesday.......we reported for our "top" shift at 9:45, and were opening up the lighthouse for the day's visitors by 10 am.
Things started off slowly, but by 11 we were getting a steady stream of people to the lantern room, but still had time to give each group a thorough viewing of the lens, as well as answer a lot of questions......more questions than I remember fielding on any previous shift, but that is a good thing.
There is not much else to report......our relief crew (Brian and Judy) arrived just at 12:30, so we handed over the "keys to the kingdom" and our two way radios, then headed for the car.......and that is as far as I can go about Wednesday's goings on.......TLE and I have been working on a big surprise, and to say anything further would spoil the surprise.......stay tuned, because tomorrow morning (Friday) you will get all the sordid details.......:-)
Only the shadow knows for sure......
Thanks for stopping by!
