Angry bunnies....

7:19 am - Saturday - December 2nd - GNHS - 44° F, humidity 81%, wind 5 mph out of the south by southeast.....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 67° F.  On this date in 2016 TLE and I arrived at the Quechan Casino in Winterhaven, CA (just 2 miles from Los Algodones) for 4, or 5 days of dry camping whilst TLE and I had a lot of dental work completed.....↴

TLE and I slept in until after 8 am Friday....how decadent can one be?  It has been a long time since we slept in that late, but it was a testament to how quiet, and windless it has been the past few days.  I had simple goals for Friday.....clean the windshield, dump the black tank, take another soak in the hot pools, do a little putting, take a nap on the 'lido deck', set up the Christmas tree, and watch the sun set.  Amazingly, all those goals were achieved.  By 10:30 am I had cleaned the windshield, dumped the black tank, and was sitting in one of the hot tubs enjoying a 106° F soak.....

.....to keep the sun out of my eyes I used one of the chaise lounge chairs.....

....as I was sitting in the hot tub I began to notice how much 'yard art' there was around the hot pools.....

That looks like one angry bunny

Looks like a couple of horned toad benches

Large urns

.....I spent a lot of time that afternoon in my anti gravity chair relaxing, and napping, getting up occasionally to putt, and ultimately ending up on the 'viewing deck' watching the Chocolate Mountains get lit by the setting sun.....

....once the sun was down, and the yard lights began coming to life, TLE went inside to get the burritos she had prepared earlier in the day into the oven, and I began to work on my final goal for the day....set up the Christmas tree.....

....it's only 2.5 or 3' tall, but it does the job.  Once that was done I headed inside for a burrito dinner....TLE makes the best burritos, and Pico de Gallo....

....the PAC-12  Championship football game between the 12-0 Washington Huskies and 11-1 Oregon Ducks was on so I watched the entirety of the game.  It was a seesaw affair with Washington hanging on to win 34-31 as time expired....definitely a game worthy of its designagtion.  Washington came in to the game #3 in the country, and Oregon at #5....a great way to end a perfect day!

Thanks for stopping by!
