The dominos are falling into place.....

7:36 am - Monday - December 11th - GNHS - 43° F, humidity 74%, wind 5 mph out of the east by southeast....cloudy with a forecast high of 66° F.  On this date in 2010 TLE and I were at Rancho Jurupa Regional Park in the Newell....within 2 months we would begin living in the Newell full time at this park....↴

....you will notice one of our anti gravity chairs in the foreground.....they were still pretty new then.

We had no rentals for Sunday, and based on the relative emptiness of the park we decided not to open the office, but posted phone numbers to call if a rental was desired.  With that decided TLE and I settled in to watch Tottenham vs. Newcastle (English Premier Soccer) on the 'lido deck', and it was a great game to watch for the home crowd (Tottenham) as they got off to a 2-0 start in the first half, which lead they extended to 4-0 in the second half.  Newcastle scored a lone goal in 'added time' (92nd minute).  It was great to see them (Tottenham) playing so much better than the past month.

Since the winds had abated we reassembled the 'lido deck' environment, which encompasses the 'firepit deck', the 'viewing deck', and 'dinning/gaming deck'.  We've become so efficient we can put it back in order in about 15 minutes working together.

I noodled around the site raising my pirate flag again, raising up my portable driving range net again, rehanging one of the Christmas wall hanger decorations which needed some minor repair after the Santa Ana winds, and setting up my anti gravity chair to watch Sunday football.  Can't believe we've had those anti gravity chairs for almost 14 years!

It seemed that every televised game was a close game, and fun to watch.  One game, not televised, was between the Raiders and Vikings.  The final score was 3-0 in favor of the Vikings....that's not the kind of 'close' any team wants, right? The lone field goal was scored with little time left in the game, so it was zero to zero for almost 60 minutes of play. Looks more like a baseball score than a football score.

While the games were in progress I wiped down the entire passenger side of the Newell, and will get to the driver side sometime Monday as it will be cloudy, and more conducive to spending time on the 'sunny side' of the coach.  I also cleaned the passenger side windows, inside and out.

It was not long until it was time for another sunset fire......

....and sunset pictures.....

.....around 5 pm TLE began to oil up the Cowboy wok to cook up some Jambalaya for dinner on the 'dining/gaming deck'.....

The ingredients

Bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, corn

In goes the andouille sausage

.....TLE bought, some time ago, a complete domino set so we could add some domino games to our repertoire, but we don't know how to play dominos so the big delay in using them was getting some instructions on how to play just basic dominos.  Finally, Sunday, TLE found a couple of YouTube videos which gave us the basics, and we played for the first time after dinner.....

.....the first game was a blowout in TLE's favor.  It took me a while to get the hang of the strategy.  We played to 150 points, and TLE got there pretty quickly.  The second game was still going strong at 7:30 pm with me in the lead with 71 points to TLE's 34.  Each hand was much closer, and I can see it taking another hour for someone to get to 150 points. Anyway, we called it quits for the night, and headed indoors.  What a fun game. Looking forward to learning the other domino related games like Mexican Train in the future.
