Real Saturday.....

7:37 am - Sunday - December 17th - GNHS - 49° F, humidity 69%, wind 5 mph out of the east by southeast......crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 70° F.  On this date in 2012 TLE and I were celebrating the end of our peak season job at Amazon at Happy Days Cafe in Campbellsville, KY.....↴

We had 3 rentals booked for Saturday, but they were all of the two hour variety, and all began at 2 pm, so we had no pressing business until then.  After publishing my latest post I headed down to the hot pools/tubs to soak.  The temp on the individual tubs was up closer to where I like it so I turned on the water and then added about 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket of pool water to bring the temp down to 106° F.  Those daily soaks work wonders upon my 74+ body, and for a few hours all the aches and pains earned over 74 years of life disappear for a few hours.

TLE and I watched another English Premier Soccer match between Manchester City and Crystal Palace.  Manchester City is in the top four in the league, and appeared to be heading toward a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace with about 16 minutes to go in the game when Crystal Palace scored their first goal.  Then the unthinkable happened....Crystal Palace scored the tying goal in added time, and that is how the game ended.  A very good game!

Since the NCAA football season is over, and all that remains are the bowl games beginning next week, the NFL is playing games on Saturdays now.  There were three games scheduled, and the first two had 4 teams all with 7-6 records.  Anyway, as I puttered around in the trailer and our site I had the games playing in the background.

Since there were only 3 two hour rentals beginning around 2 pm I let Hunter and TLE handle them while I watched the afternoon NFL game, and took a nap.  During this time I decided to run the Fantastic Fan in the trailer all afternoon to see how much it might drain the Bluetti solar charger battery.  Much to my surprise over four hours the fan only used a little under 10% of the battery capacity.....very, very good!  Much better than I had anticipated.

Around 4 pm I headed outside to usher in the end of day lighting of the Chocolate Mountains, and the ensuing sunset....

....all three of the rentals returned on time, and without incident....just like we like it.

We are currently in a weather window with no forecast wind events over the next two weeks, and that is how we like it, right?  Just day after day of mostly sunny skies, and temps in the high 60's and low 70's....exactly what one would expect at this time of year, and precisely why snowbirds migrate to this area of the southwest each winter.

Thanks for stopping by!
