Some assembly required.....

7:37 am - Friday - December 15th - GNHS - 44° F, 71% humidity, wind 4 mph out of the southeast.....partially cloudy skies today with a forecast high of 69° F.  On this date in 2021 we were enjoying one of those amazing Anza Borrego Desert sunsets from our boondock site....it went on for almost an hour.....↴

Remember that brand new RZR which was delivered last week?  Well, Thursday was finally the day we would assemble it.  I met Hunter in front of the office around 8:30 am, and we began the task of unpacking everything, and then putting it all together.  The first thing you install is the roll cage....

.....the roll cage is the hardest part to assemble as it comes in 4 sections, and you have to fit everything together leaving all the bolts loose.  Once all the pieces are joined you can tighten all 30 of the bolts (there may be more...I'm just guessing....lol). Assembling, and installing the roll cage takes two people, so once that was done I left Hunter to finish installing the seats, sound system, seat belts, windshield, and roof.  In all it took about 4 hour beginning to end, but here she is.....

....she'll never be this clean again!

While Hunter finished assembling the RZR I began refueling 2 RZRs, one General 4 seat, and 2 General 2 seaters, then washing them.  Right now we only have two 2 seat Generals going out Saturday, and that is it so far for the weekend.  There are only 2, or 3 RVs in the park right now, and I think employees actually out number customers right now, so we didn't expect any walkups Thursday and maybe none Friday....we'll see.

I clocked out just before 1 pm, and headed inside for some lunch, and a nap.  I haven't worked that hard in a couple of weeks.  I know that's going to change next week, because that is when the Christmas hordes begin descending upon Glamis North Hot Springs, and we already have a lot bookings beginning next Thursday, and going through the day after New Years, so things will be hopping here again shortly.  It will be a crazy 10 days.

I spent another hour, so so working on connecting the wiring for the trailer 12 volt system, but was not finished by 4 pm, so I closed up shop, and headed out to the 'viewing deck' to enjoy the light show, and sunset one more time....

....the sunset was not spectacular, although it had the potential to be.  It just never quite got there, but a sunset is a sunset, and being around to see another one is always something which should be appreciated and enjoyed.

We watched another episode of 'Survivor' (next week is the finale), and the finale for 'Amazing Race'.  For the first time that I can remember the three final teams in the 'Amazing Race' were all guys....two brothers, a father and son, and two guys who became friends while deployed in the Middle East....frankly, we had no favorites and would be happy no matter who won.  As it turned out the brothers won, but only by maybe 2 minutes over the two friends.  One the closest finishes, I believe, ever.

Thanks for stopping by!
