7:35 am - Wednesday - September 10th - LPG&RVR - 47° F, humidity 63%, wind 1 mph out of the east by southeast......cloudy today with a forecast high of 66° F. On this date in 2012 TLE and I were overnighting in the parking lot of the Rock Springs, WY Walmart......
....the picture was taken from the Starbucks across the street from the Walmart. It had just stopped raining when I took the picture. For a post 4th of July Tuesday business was pretty decent at 15 carts rented. The weather was cool, and for the second successive day I wore pants, and a long sleeved shirt. I still had those range balls left over from Monday to wash, and pour back into the 55 gallon barrel in the Clubhouse, so after washing the four Yamaha golf carts left over from Monday I began cleaning, and drying them. That took me to just after 10 am, and then it was time to head out to the golf course to mow around those tee boxes for which I am responsible. I had taken care of #10 on Monday as it was close to the Clubhouse, but still needed to do #3, 15, 16 and 17 (I no longer do the ones at the 18th tee as DeWayne has a new 'rough' mower that is smaller, and can fit around those four tee boxes)....
The leaves are turning!
.....as I rode out to the #3 tee boxes I had to stop a few times and take pictures as it was such a beautiful day.
The mowing went quickly, and I was back at the RV park by 11:30 am, so decided to mow the employee lawns, then the group fire pit grass before putting away the Husqvarna 2 bag rotary mower. I gave TLE a 90 minute lunch, and, for a change, it wasn't too busy. By the time I emerged from the confines of the Clubhouse I had 8 golf carts to wash/stow. Since I had done all the mowing I could do, all I had to worry about the final two hours was washing/stowing golf carts, and then it was 3:30 pm, and time to begin my four day weekend. TLE followed 90 minutes later.
Our time here at LPG&RVR is short, just like the daylight portion of each day has shortened significantly. Now the sun is rising around 6:38 am, and setting around 7:18 pm, and by the time we depart LPG&RVR in early October it will be rising after 7 am, and setting before 7 pm.
We'll be heading northwest to Klamath Falls, OR in a couple of hours (Wednesday morning) to celebrate TLE's birthday (yesterday), and our 54th wedding anniversary (belatedly). We always look forward to a vacation from our vacation, and we love visiting Klamath Falls....lol!
Thanks for stopping by!
