Five times now.....

5:37 am - Sunday - September 14th - LPG&RVR - 52° F, humidity 52%, wind 3 mph out of the southeast.....partly cloudy today with a forecast high of 75° F.  On this date in 2012 TLE and I were in Fort Collins, CO.....

having lunch at Zquilla's Mexican Restaurant.  We were there to get our blood tests for our first workamping job at Amazon.

I'm so glad we had Saturday to rest and relax before heading back to work Sunday for one of our last 4 day work weeks.  It was an 80° F day, but never felt that warm.  It's been quite a few days since we've needed air conditioning, which is a nice change.  I spent time around our site blowing an accumulation of leaves off the 'lido deck', and tidying up the trailer interior in preparation for organizing it for VW insertion in a few weeks.  Otherwise, I watched a lot of college football.  There were some interesting games all through the day.  Georgia Tech upset Clemson, Texas A&M upset Notre Dame....that's what I love about college football....on any given day the underdog can win.

We had the weekly putting contest at 4 pm, and for the 5th time this summer I was 'in the money'.  I was one putt away from winning, but just missed the putt, so I finished second again.  That's four 2nd places this summer, and one 1st place, but I've been 'in the money' now each month we've been here.  Next Saturday is the putting contest finale where everyone who has placed either 1st, or 2nd each week will putt for the championship....

Ironically, the gentleman in the middle of this picture, in the gray t-shirt, was the guy to whom I lost on this day

After the putting contest was over we all headed over to the Likely Volunteer Fire Department for the annual fund raising dinner, which was quite a success, again.  DeWayne Matthews, the fire chief, grilled large Rib Eye steaks for everyone to which was added baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and a dinner salad.  Those steaks are very large!  TLE and I always bring home half of each steak.  We weren't home until after 7 pm, and a great time was had by all!

On a side note the blog just passed 3 million views since its inception.....

.....we've turned some kind of a corner to where we have been averaging 5-10,000 views per day.  If the trend continues we'll not only double our present monthly record of over 100,000 views, but may break 300,000 in a single month.

Thanks for stopping by!
