Day 3 of 4.....

8:19 am - Friday - September 5th - LPG&RVR - 64° F, humidity 24%, wind 1 mph out of the southeast.....cloudy today with a forecast high of 89° F.  On this date in 2018 TLE and I were standing atop Cadillac Mountain near Bar Harbor, ME.....

....with TLE's sister, Laureen.  She and her husband Glenn flew up to Bar Harbor, ME to visit us that summer.

Day three of our four day weekend was much like day one, and the afternoon of day 2.....lots of relaxing, napping, and reading, as well as a little work around the homestead.  For years I've stored our LEKI hiking poles on top of the storage cabinet in the trailer in these little spring loaded clips....

.....and along with the poles a lot of other things I had forgotten we even had....lol...so I removed the poles in order to store them in the hatch of the VW, and cleared out everything else but our Yoga mats, which we do use on occasion.  I'll removed the spring loaded clips Friday, and then things will look a lot less cluttered up there, plus I'll know exactly what is up there again.......

Looks better up there already

.....we also stored, or hung if you will, many of our ratcheting cargo straps up there.  I hung them from the end of one of the hiking poles.  Anyway, I installed three cargo rings on the driver side wall at the rear of the trailer, and rehung the cargo straps there.....

.....much easier to get at than before, and much more organized.  Additionally, I went through some other things hanging on the license plate wall, and disposed of a few things we weren't using, or had fallen into disrepair due to lack of use.  That was the extent of my 'work' Thursday.

From the garage work I retired to the 'lido deck' to read, and relax until almost 3 pm when it began to get too warm, so I headed inside to enjoy the cool air being generated by our bedroom A/C unit for the balance of the afternoon where I finished reading another book.

Today, Friday, will be the warmest day for the next two weeks at 89° F.  The high temperatures will then decline day by day into the high 60's next week, and then settle into the 70's , and low 80's.  As of today, Friday, we have one month until we haul anchor, and that time will go quickly, as it always seems to do.

Thanks for stopping by!
