7:11 am - Saturday - September 27th - LPG&RVR - 44° F, humidity 23%, wind 1 mph out of the southeast......crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 85° F. On this date in 2017 TLE and I were visiting Canyon Falls.....
.....in Yellowstone National Park....amazing!
Friday was the first day of our four day weekend, and we did what we usually do.....pretty much nothing. We did watch quite a few hours of the Ryder Cup, but were completely disappointed in the outcome. The U.S. team, playing on home ground against a very good European team, gave up 8.5 points and scored only 3.5 points in matches that heavily favored them on paper, and that is the secret I guess. On paper this is one of the strongest teams we have fielded, however, they played well below their potential, and the Europeans played way, way above expectations. We expected this Ryder Cup to be very competitive, but thought we would win in the end, however, it was anything but that. It was a complete mismatch of epic proportions.
Weatherwise it was a very nice 80° F day with no A/C needed. I spent the afternoon outdoors on the 'lido deck' reading, and taking a nap, and I did actually drain the black tank right after posting my latest blog entry in the morning, but that was as far as I ventured from the friendly confines of our 'lido deck' all day. We've got one more day with temps in the 80's (Saturday) and then we spend the rest of our remaining time here in the LOW 70's and mid 60's. Our next four day work week (our last) will not see one daily high above 68° F according to the weather guessers. Please accept my apologies for not posting this current blog entry until late Saturday, but I felt a little lazy today. I did start to write this missive a little after 7 am, but decided to wait to finish it until later today (Saturday).
Thanks for stopping by!
