5:38 am - Monday - September 1st - LPG&RVR - 53° F, humidity 29%, wind 4 mph out of the southeast......partly cloudy skies today with a forecast high of 90° F. On this date in 2021 TLE and I were taking a walk along Seal Rock Beach.....
......about 10 miles south of Newport, OR.
Even though Sunday was not quite as busy as Saturday, it was busy with over 30 carts being rented. I began Sunday needing to wash 18 golf carts left over from Saturday. Claude happened to be passing by the Clubhouse as I was getting ready to wash/stow them so he helped by washing them down, with me following close behind drying them. We got them finished within 30 minutes.
As I have been doing recently, I staged just 10 carts at a time, and once they were gone, staged another 10, then another 10, then another 5. In all we sent out 32 golf carts, but most of them returned by early afternoon, and I was able to get all but 6 washed before I headed home for the afternoon at 3:30 pm.
I don't think I mentioned this yesterday, but this weekend was the beginning of the NCAA College Football season, so I have been watching football again. Next weekend the NFL season begins, so we have officially entered the 'Fall Season' even though summer will not be officially over for a few weeks. Watched an interesting college football game last night between #6 Notre Dame, and #10 University of Miami played in South Beach, FL, and won by Miami on a last second field goal to win 27-24. A very good game beginning to end.
TLE wasn't ready to come home until after 5:30 pm due to the busy day in the office. Just one day to go in our four day work week, and here I am writing my first blog post of September. Just over 4 weeks to go in this our fourth summer season at LPG&RVR.
Thanks for stopping by!
