Too much DRAAAAMA!

5:57 am - Thursday - 38º F, humidity 90%, wind - CALM......I wish I was......:-)  Forecast high for today is 69º F.

Some of you caught my late posting of the delayed blog post from yesterday morning entitled 'Hanging in the balance', and are now somewhat clued into our dilemma.  Well, the drama continues and the outcome is yet to be determined, but here is where we stand at present.

Today we will travel to another 1,000 Trails park called San Benito RV and Camping Resort located near Hollister, CA for job interviews.  Why San Benito?  Well, we know the manager there, and he has conditionally offered TLE an 'admin' position, and me a Ranger position. We want to visit the park in person, and get a feel for the area before we make a decision.

Anyway, now you have the rest of the story.......well, most of the story.......the rest of the story will be written over the next few days.

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Good luck with your positions and hope all goes well.

  2. I think San Benito is the better choice. It needs more help, good location with a lot to do around it, and it's needed a lot of help for a long time. I don't remember how the cellular signals were back then. Not a very busy park though. I think a lot of people have tried it but weren't happy with the facilities.

    1. John, we have been pleasantly surprised at what a lovely park it is. Just finished a tour of the property with the manager.....it's enormous!

  3. Clarke, keep our names and let us know where you land. Hopefully, we'll see you next season.
I have been in your situation and it's disheartening to know corporate doesn't have your back.

    1. If I gave the impression that corporate did not have our back I apologize. Actually, corporate was, and is very supportive. It was the on site management that was not.
