skōSH......

7:41 am - Real Saturday - April 10th - Seal Rock, OR - 43° F, 76% humidity, wind 10 mph out of the northwest......very cloudy today with a forecast high of 47° F.  Rained for a few hours during the early morning hours, but should not rain anymore today......perfect.....rain at night, and dry during the day!

On this date in 2019 I was in Yuba City, CA with Glenn and Laureen helping them inspect the 1984 Newell which became theirs the next day.......↴

.....and on this date in 2015 we were visiting the Four Corners Monument...

.....and, finally, on this date in 2012 we were touring the Kennedy Space Center in Florida....

I wrote about the spray paint we bought a while back to repaint our 'lido deck' tables, and our new Adirondack chairs.  Friday was a great day for beginning those projects, and I decided to begin with the tables.  TLE and I chose a very vibrant green to spice these 17 year old tables up a bit, and I think we chose well........

Before......

....after....

....I lightly sanded each table, wiped them off with some mineral spirits, and then began to paint them.  In all I applied 4 coats of paint to each, and then two clear coats to protect the paint.  It took me most of the day.

In between some of the coats TLE and I drove into Waldport to pick up a prescription from Hi-School Pharmacy, and then headed over to skōSH for lunch.....they began as a food truck, and their success enabled them to move into a sticks and bricks facility......

.....my barber, Jeff Berg, recommended them very highly the last time I got my ears lowered, and I have been meaning to check them out.....there is no Yelp page for them yet, but there is a Facebook page.....we would give them 4 stars......I have a feeling this place will be hopping this summer.....

.....I partook of their Pork Carnitas Tacos, and TLE their 'Smoked Chicken Smasher' (BBQ pulled chicken), and I ordered a side of their 'No Frizzle Fries'.....combined with the fries TLE got with her sandwich, and my large box of fries, there were too many to eat in one seating, so we ended up bringing home the equivalent of one box of fries.  The food was fresh, rustic, and delicious!  They currently only have one table open inside (they have two, but can only use one under Wuhan Flu regulations), and two large, round tables outside....we chose, as we most often do, the alfresco option....it's a good thing it was sunny because the temp was only 48° F.

We were home  a little after 2 pm, at which time I returned to my painting project.  All the while the 2nd round of the annual Masters Golf Tournament was playing in the background....it doesn't get much better.

Clouds moved into Seal Rock late afternoon, and the sunset was completely blotted out of existence.  Those clouds ended up bringing rain early Saturday morning.....nothing like waking up in the middle of the night to rain on our roof.....nothing.
