 8:00 am - Sunday - August 29th - Seal Rock, OR - 50° F, 100% humidity, wind - CALM....heavily overcast today with a forecast high of 62° F.  On this date in 1971 TLE and I were married......50 years ago today......↴

I'm taking a break from regularly scheduled programming today to focus on an amazing milestone in my life.  Fifty years ago today around 1 pm in the afternoon I married my best friend, and lover....Elaine Frances Houghtaling.  Our first date was in June of 1968.....

.....we were engaged in March of 1971 while I was home from college.  That summer we went to Manhattan Beach every Sunday.....

......soon we had our first child on August 31st, 1972.....here we are at Harrah's in Stateline, NV in 1974.......

.....for our 20th anniversary we flew to Kauai, Hawaii for 8 days....I still have that watch in the picture below (Casio Quartz diver watch).....

.....fast forward 20 years.....we moved into our Newell to live full time on February 1, 2011, and celebrated our 40th anniversary in Riverside, CA.....a month later we both retired, and on February 1, 2012 we began our full time adventure.....

49th - Oak Harbor, WA - with life long friends, Bob and Karen Fenstermacher

......along the way we raised five children to majority, and now have 8 grand children, with one more on the way, as well as 2 great grand children.....life with The Lovely Elaine has been a great adventure that began back in 1968 on our first date.  She is my best friend, and lover.  Every day with her is a blessing....she is the best part of me.
