7:47 am - Tuesday - June 8th - Seal Rock, OR - 50°F, 94% humidity, wind - zero mph out of the north.....overcast today with a forecast high of 56° F. On this date in 2017 TLE and I were finishing our last South Lake Tahoe project (building a 150' long pole fence) before hauling our anchor and heading for Yellowstone......↴
Following our delightfully relaxing 3 day weekend it was back to work on Monday. Fred and I spent our entire three hour shift up at the large home of the owners (Bill and Tina Brown). They will be here in a week, or so, and the entire yard needed to be mowed, and trimmed. It is a big yard, and usually takes two of us more than one shift to finish it. We pretty much employed every Stihl power tool we own (string trimmers, hedge trimmers, blower, pole saw, etc) to trim the hedges, mow and trim the grass. I hauled two loads of vegetation to the burn pile, and Fred one. By 1:15 pm we were still not done, but there is always another day. By the time we serviced all the Stihl equipment, and refueled them it was going on 2 pm....a longish day for a Monday.
TLE was home a short time after I (she worked in the office from 11 am to 2 pm). The weather remained cloudy, and a little cool, but we never received the forecast rain. I spent some time in the trailer/garage attempting to repair two of the cracked amber lenses I switched out the other day. If my repairs area successful they will be nice backups in case any more get cracked in the future. These amber lenses are very hard to find, so I have a limited supply, and must make them last as long as possible......
