7:44 am - Wednesday - June 2nd - Seal Rock, OR - 54° F, 100% humidity, wind 3 mph out of the west.....overcast now, sunny later today with a forecast high of 62° F. On this date in 2020 we had just arrived at one of our favorite boondocking sites ever near Driggs, ID on the Teton River with a view of the Tetons......↴
....we had three vintage coaches in attendance.
Even though we had gotten to bed after 11:30 pm we both were awake at 5:30 am thinking about what needed to be done to get to the airport (GEG)) for our flights home. I went down to the Davenport 'Business Center' to print our baggage tags, and our boarding passes, and was back in the room by 6 am, and then proceeded to pack for our trip. By 6:30 am we were both done, and both of us decided to take a nap now that we had nothing to think about until we left the hotel at 8:30 am to head to to the airport (GEG).
We were out the door before 8:30 am, and driving to the airport a few minutes later. The first leg of our flight was back to Seattle at 10:25 am, and we were at our gate by 9:15 am. We had time for a cup of coffee and some pastries at the Starbucks store near the gate. The flight to Seattle (SEATAC) is on a smaller prop jet, but they were full so I had to check my bag at the steps to the jet, and reclaim it as we exited the plane.
We arrived in SEATAC on time, and had about 45 minutes until our next flight. I had to check my bag again as we were flying on a smaller two engine jet, and it was full....oh well, we had to get our other two bags from baggage claim in Portland (PDX) anyway. The flight south was beautiful, and TLE go this great shot of Mt. Hood as we were descending into PDX. By 1:55 pm we were at AirPark picking up our VW, and on our way home......
.....we made the drive home in record time arriving at the Newell just after 4:30 pm! We unpacked, and then I collapsed into my recliner to take a nap. I was really dead tired! We had a blast seeing our family, and attending all of the festivities, but now it is time to get back to our routine, and enjoy our wonderful coastal view.
