Life is good.....

7:30 am - Thursday - June 24th - Seal Rock, OR - 54° F, 94% humidity, wind 7 mph out of the north by northeast.....heavy marine layer again today with a forecast high of 63° F.  On this date in 2013 TLE and I were touring the 2013 Newell Show Coach near Spearfish, SD at our Newell mini rally......↴

She looks like she owns it

I returned to the WDS/beach path area again Wednesday to finish what I had started Tuesday.  I needed to trim the hedge which borders the beach path, mow and trim the grass on the street side of the gate, and finally mow the steep area by the gravel settling area which was too steep for the riding lawnmower the other day.....

I used the self propelled Craftsman rotary lawnmower to cut the 12" grass in the 'steep' area

.....these two pictures are of the WDS plant just in case you were wondering what I was referring to.  The round green lids cover the bunkers in which the filters reside whilst filtering effluent.  The grass was about 7" high in this area the other day.....

The hedge along the beach path is now trimmed back, and
under control once again

The grass on the beach side of the gate is now mowed once again

......all of this took me close to 3.5 hours to complete, and resulted in one completely full trailer load of hedge and grass clippings which I delivered to the burn pile area.  By the time I finished my t-shirt was soaked with perspiration, and covered with grass clippings....time for a long, endless hot water shower!

Wednesday was also the day to dump the black tank, so once I was showered and somewhat rested I headed out to dump another 9 days of effluent, which, at some point, will reach those WDS filters I cleaned the other day.  It's all really just a big circle, right?

TLE was home from her split shift Wednesday just after 4 pm.  By 5 pm she was serving me her world famous meat, cheese and black olive burritos for dinner.....life is good on the Oregon Coast.
