Staying trim.....

5:41 am - Saturday - August 17th - LPG&RVR - 52° F, humidity 56%, wind 4 mph out of the south by southeast.....clear skies today with a forecast high of 82° F. On this date in 2013 TLE and I were in Salt Lake City attending the wedding of my brother Dwyer's daughter Ingrid.....rare to have to much of our family in one location.....

We don't mow on the weekends, so I had it 'cut' out for me Friday.  In all we rented 13 golf carts over the course of the day.  By 3:30 pm all but 4 had returned, so I'll have them to wash first thing Saturday.  Wanting to get back to the Clubhouse as soon as I could after my first round of the course, I didn't rake any of the sand traps, and, thankfully, they did not need any attention, except for some minor weeding on the trap at the 12th hole

In order to mow the parking lot grass, and the Night Registration office grass I need to wind up a bunch of long hoses we use to irrigate that grass, to get them out of the way so I can mow, so I did that first.  By 9:45 am I was trimming around the putting green, the trees in the parking lot grass, and around the Night Registration office.  By 10:30 am I was mowing.  I managed to get the parking lot grass, the Night Registration office grass, the grass around the putting green, as well as the three large grass areas in the residential area up the hill done by 12:05 pm, and soon thereafter TLE was on her lunch break.  All I had left was to mow around the tee boxes at 3, 10, 15, 16, 17 & 18, which I would do after TLE's return from lunch.

By the time I returned from my mowing trip around the course it was after 2:30 pm, and time to wash carts.  I had them washed and put away a little after 3 pm, so I took one more swing around the course as 'marshal'.  There were still 6 carts out on the course, but by the time I returned 2 of those had been returned, so I quickly washed them, stowed them, and headed for home.....2 days down, and 2 to go.

After a quick shower, I settled into my recliner for a much needed nap after all that activity.  On weight front I am still hovering around 180, but hope to finally get below 180 in the next week, or so now that I'm able to walk on our days off again.  The great thing is I am maintaining my weight loss without much effort.  When I was verifying my information for the clerk at the DMV office last week it was great to see my listed weight as 180....my old license shows 192....nice.

TLE made me a great BLAT sandwich for dinner....that was unexpected!  We watched a couple more episodes of 'Silent Witness' and I was in bed by 9 pm....TLE likes to read for an hour, or so after I go to bed.  I usually am up by 5:30 am on work days, and I need at least 8+ hours of sleep per night when I'm working.  The daily temps continue to reside in the low 80's, and we're beginning to close about 1/2 our windows at night....there is a definite chill in the air now in the mornings, and evenings....can Fall be far away?

The fires to the north of us continue to burn with the Park Fire only 55% contained at this point.  They consider a fire under control at 60% contained.  Nevertheless, the winds have been favoring us, and we have been mostly smoke free for the past week.

Thanks for stopping by!
