Tuesday marked the beginning of our last week on the Tuesday to Friday work schedule. Next week we go to Wednesday to Saturday, and eventually, when mandatory overtime kicks in, it will be Tuesday to Saturday (5 tens). And, eventually, we will be offered voluntary overtime and a 6th day may be added to the schedule, but it will be our choice. At this point I am inclined to volunteer for one, or two 6 day weeks.....we'll see. So, anyway, we will have 4 days off this weekend as we are off Saturday morning at 4am until 5:30pm on Wednesday...it will feel more like 5 days off. I think we'll try to do some site seeing this Monday, or Tuesday.
Our collective feet are doing much better, and getting used to being stood upon for 10 hours a night. We've both adjusted to being awake until 4am, and mentally we're doing fine. Our numbers continue to exceed 100% of "plan", so we are now on cruise control. I was at 111% last night, and was pretty pleased with myself until I saw TLE's 147%....wth! That woman can pick!!! I spent 5 hours in my least favorite "pick mod" last night/morning......."M", but for some reason that is where I get my best numbers. We are calling "pick mod Q" the adult toy "pick mod".
The hardest part for me is going to sleep right away when we get home. By the time we got to sleep this morning it was 5:30......the problem comes in that I have a hard time sleeping past 10:30 unless I'm exhausted. Right now all those naps I took this weekend are paying off, but at some point I'll need to get more than 5 hours sleep......lol!
We both got up around 9:30 Tuesday, but really didn't do anything all day except busy stuff like taking the accumulating trash to the dumpster, pump up the bike tires that had lost some air, washed some of my shop rags, napped, etc. 5pm comes around pretty quickly, and now with setting our clocks back an hour it gets dark much earlier, of course.
We chose to drive the 'Bird the 1/4 mile over to Amazon, for all the wrong reasons.....just plain lazy, but it paid off....when we came out at 4am it was raining. I did't bring my winter parka so my head would have gotten quite wet on the walk home.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Thanksgiving!
