In the 60's.....

7:32 am - Wednesday - July 14th - Seal Rock, OR - 50° F, 100% humidity, wind 7 mph out of the north.....partly cloudy today (sunny right now) with a forecast high of 60° F.  On this date in 2020 we were overnighting in the Super Walmart parking lot in Sheridan, WY.....↴

For the second day in a row I wore a long sleeve shirt to work.....that cold north wind, and heavy marine layer contributed to a chilly morning once again.  I spent most of my shift working with Fred trimming hedges while he used the string trimmer to move back the encroachment of nature into our overflow parking area.  We spent the last 30 minutes of our shift cleaning the WDS filters....enough said about that....lol.  By the time I headed home at 1 pm the sun was out, and the ever present marine layer was out to sea about 2 miles, biding its time until it oozed back inland once again.

It's been almost 2 months since I had my last haircut, and needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I was way over due.....the last haircut I had was about 10 days before we flew up to Spokane for my sister's daughter's wedding.....way, way too long.....

.....Jeff Berg of Waldport Family Cuts got my hair about as short as it has been in years.  Whilst I was getting my ears lowered TLE was at Ray's Food Place acquiring new provisions for our pantry.  As is often the case I was ready a little before TLE was done shopping, so I began walking the 3 blocks over to Ray's.  I was about 1 block away when I spied her driving toward  me.  My hair appointment at for 2 pm, and we were home by 2:45 pm.....a very efficient trip into town.

The wind continues to blow from the north, and gets into the high teens, low 20's each afternoon making it unpleasant to spend much, if any time on the 'lido deck'.  I checked the 15 day forecast for Seal Rock and there are no days over 63° F over that span of time...amazing!  I did spend a couple of hours watching the second half of Stage 16 of Le Tour de France.  An Austrian won the stage, and became only the third of his country to win a Stage of Le Tour, and the first since 2008....the first Austrian to win a Stage was back in the 1930's.  Only five Stages left now, and before we know it they will be riding into Paris this Sunday......where has July gone?
