7:31 am - Monday - July 5th - Seal Rock, OR - 57° F, 88% humidity, wind 7 mph out of the north.....heavy marine layer this morning with clearing later, and a high of 64° F. On this date in 2014 TLE and I were rafting on the Truckee River near Tahoe City, CA with two of my daughters and their boyfriends (now both sons-in-law)........↴

Sunday, July 4th, was the perfect weekend day. The north by northwest wind pushed the marine layer offshore for the first time in a few days, and we were able to sit outside for the first time since last September to watch Le Tour de France on our outdoor TV for a couple of hours. In fact, I left the outdoor TV on all day, and actually watched a good portion of round four the latest PGA event, which had a three way tie at the end of regulation, and went to 6 extra holes before the match was finally decided.....
I normally have my pirate flag flying, but decided to run the red, white and blue up the pole on Sunday
......I did manage to get a couple of things done, however. The black tank was getting close to needing a dump, and the ceiling exhaust fan in the bathroom was developing a rattle indicating it needed to be temporarily removed, and cleaned. I had to do the same with the shower fan a year ago. Dumping the tank was easy, but getting that motor, and fan blade out in cramped quarters was 'fun'. If I was willing to go on the roof and tackle it from above by removing the roof vent it would have been quicker, but I was just up there on Friday working on the satellite dish. As it turned out, once I applied the right tools to loosening the metal band which holds the motor in place things went pretty quickly.
While I worked on cleaning, and lubing the motor, as well as cleaning the fan TLE cleaned up the inside vent. She finished a few minutes before me, so I put it all back together once again. Up next will be to remove the vent fan over the stove, which will have to be done from the roof.
