Slightly addicting.....

6:04 am - Thursday - June 6th - LPG&RVR - 56° F, humidity 56%, wind zero mph out of the north.....partially cloudy skies today with a forecast high of 91° F.  On this date in 2020 TLE and I arrived at Valley View RV Park in Island Park, ID,  just ahead of an approaching storm.  By the time we got parked, and hooked up the rain came....

Wednesday, the second of our four day work week, was irrigation day.  I had sprinklers running in several locations, the tree irrigation was turned on, and I was flooding the Meadows sites for the second time this season.  For good measure I manually turned on the sprinklers for the large grass area next to site #30 as it was looking like it needed more water, too.  Things are drying out quickly here at LPG&RVR.

After checking the tee times sheet I staged just 10 golf carts, and just 8 of them were rented...a typically slow day here at LPG&RVR.  I then headed out to make my first, and only round of the course.  The goose/duck leavings continue to be static.  I also raked all four of the course's sand traps, and was back at the Clubhouse a little after 9 am.

Other than mowing 8 of the 10 full hookup pull through sites as they were empty, I spent the better part of the day moving sprinklers, and checking on the progress of the water flowing  through the 10 Meadows sites.  Unlike last week, when it took an hour for the water to reach the first site, it was there in less than 15 minutes this time, and moving more quickly through the first 6 sites now that the ground had been saturated the week prior.  By 5 pm the water was half way through tent sites 1-3.  Next week we'll be able get the water to the rest of the tent sites.

As the day wound down I began to turn off sprinklers, as well as the tree irrigation system.  I was off work by 3:40 pm, and by 4 pm had washed 8 hours of dusty work off my aging body, and was taking a rest in my recliner.  Around 4:30 pm I drove into Likely to get 5 street tacos from the food truck (Quatro Palomas Taqueria) for dinner, and was home in time to pickup TLE from the Clubhouse, and turn off the irrigation for the Meadows sites.....

The Likely General Store across the street from the food truck

.....we had a nice dinner.  This is not really 'fast food' as they do not grill the meat for the street tacos until the order is in, so it takes around 15 minutes before the order is ready, however, we enjoyed our 'slow food'....those tacos are addicting!  There were clouds on the western horizon which provided us with a sunset worth memorializing......

....thanks for stopping by
