Weather guessers were wrong about Ramona......

7:32 am - Friday - October 11th - Ramona, CA - 63° F, 7% humidity, wind 10 mph out of the northeast......clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 83° F.....that is the lowest humidity reading I have seen in years.  Very light winds last night.....never lost power.

When I first returned to the trail down to the pond Thursday morning I was determined to build steps down to the water's edge, however, within a few minutes my plan had completely changed.  Why not extend the trail all the way to the rocks in the distance which was a more natural termination point?  So, that is exactly what I did....I'll let the pictures tell the story.........↴

In the beginning, just a barely noticeable trail......

....then the fencing along the trail to make it safer.....

.....trail ends at the end of the fence with possible stairs.....

.....the steps are gone ⇗, and the trail extends all the way to the rocks in the distance.....↴

  .....reinforcing the trail edge.....

 .....and, finally.........finished.......

.....I worked on finishing the trail until close to 3 pm, and then with an hour left in my day moved my operation up to where I had left off replacing fencing along the creek up just past site # 60.  I only had time to take apart, and rebuild about 4 sections of fencing, but I bit off a tad more than I could chew.....when 4 pm rolled around I still had one more post to cut and set, and two more split rails to install.....I'll finish that up Friday morning.

.....back to the fencing along the creek....four more sections

After dropping TLE off at the Newell I headed up to the trailer to retrieve our Honda 2000e generator just in case SDG&E decided to shut off our power.  As we sat watching TV throughout the evening we could hear the wind, but it never exceeded 20 mph, and as we went to bed it was quiet outside.  As of this writing this morning (Friday) the winds are very light, so it appears the 'wind event' forecast by the weather guessers will not happen locally....whew!
