'Locked and Loaded'

Awoke Monday to another May/June gloom day......really enjoying the morning overcast that brings cool, crisp air in the morning.  I was feeling a little stiff first thing so I went through my workout routine to get some of the kinks out of my body.

I had arranged to have TLE drop me off at my son's (Chris) office to go to lunch with him, and just spend time talking.  Back in my workaday life when he and I shared an office we talked every day.....that is one of the things from my workaday life that I miss the most.  TLE dropped me off about Noon time, and she headed off to do what she calls 'lookey loo' shopping.....for her walking up and down endless aisles in Target is the equivalent of me doing the same thing in Home Depot......well, maybe.

The office Chris and I shared for about 8 years

We headed over to my favorite local lunch place......Rubio's......shortly after TLE left, and essentially spent the entire time talking non-stop about the weekend's sporting events, politics, and family.  When TLE walked in the door I thought she had been gone for less than an hour, but a look at my watch told the tale.....it had been 2 hours since she left.

TLE and I then headed over to Claremont where she had a 3 pm appointment with Amanda at Forte to have her hair trimmed before we head to SLT* for the summer.....while she and Amanda took care of business I walked across the street to Starbucks for a cup of coffee, and to spend some time catching up on my social media....it's amazing how much happens in 3 hours!

We were home by 4:30 with smiles on our collective faces......it was a good day!  We are pretty much just in a holding pattern until we streak southward in the VW to Los Algodones for our next dental appointments on Thursday, then back the same day to get ready for an early departure on Friday.  I see in the weather forecasts there is a cooling trend along the Eastern Sierra with a chance of rain/snow over the next 5 days.....should be an interesting 2 day drive.

Thanks for stopping by!
