My internal clock has never really adjusted this time to sleeping during the day. My sleep has been mostly fitful, and restless.....maybe I'll sleep for 60-90 minutes at a time....wake up, then lay there for 30 minutes before going back to sleep....mostly an act of the will, because my brain is saying "It's light outside, time to get up!", while my intellect is saying "My God, you've only been in bed 3 hours.....you've got to go back to sleep!". I've been getting by with naps before we go to work each work day, but I know from how I feel I'm not getting the deep sleep I need. Maybe this small cold I have is a blessing in disguise, because last night (went to bed at 2 am) I took one of those Nyquil Nighttime thingies so I could breath, and sleep, and did I ever! I remember nothing from 2 am until I got up at 11 am today, and do I ever feel rested! I'm not one to take any kind of cold medication, but I knew I had to get some sleep last night, and I'm glad I took it.
Wednesday was our usual middle of the week 'donut hole' day/night off, and it was appreciated. I had determined beforehand that I would just stay inside all day/night, rest up, and hope this cold takes its course quickly. I didn't take any daytime cold medication, and I felt pretty good most of the day with very little congestion, but towards midnight I began to have to blow my nose a lot. We have 16 days to go before we roll our wheels once again, and only will be at work 10 of those days.
It rained on and off most of Wednesday.....TLE went to do a 'small' shopping whilst I remained home napping, reading, and then napping some more. While she was on her way to shop she snapped this picture of the new snow on the local mountains.......so far it is staying above freezing at night, and the day time temps will continue to be in the 50's for the next ten days, or so. On a side note......our water hose has yet to freeze overnight since we have been here.
That was pretty much our 'donut hole' day of R & R.........thanks for stopping by!
